Ever since I was a teenager I’ve wanted abs so badly. But really, who doesn’t? From twenty-something females to fifty-year-old males, it’s something that we strive for. Strength, primarily, followed by a Summer body that is the envy of the beach. Or our exes.
Personally, I run and run and run, but while I feel strong, I wasn’t seeing the six pack progress that I was hoping for. I suppose it was wishful thinking (after all, running does virtually nothing for your core), but I thought – hey, maybe something will happen!
And something did happen. That is, when I came across smart products that helped with just the trick. Yes, smart products can help you get a six pack. I’m here to show you how.

1. Get Motivated
Ab work is tough – so why not get a motivator to help lead the way?
Fitness trainers suggest that you do your ab work in between your regular weight and fitness training. Why? These trainers say that you’ll get better results — an even more shredded torso and core – if you do these exercises between your training. You don’t run the risk of over training, and you’ll provide more even weight throughout your body.
But with this comes more work – and more motivation needed. Especially if you’re starting from virtually scratch, it can be intimidating at the best of times, and even more difficult to get to the gym regularly to get that core we want. Remember – the beginning is always the most difficult part.
Also, remember that ab work doesn’t need to come in the form of sit-ups or side planks. No! Doing box jumps (like the photo above) will not only help strengthen your body overall, but also work on your core in ways you never imagined. Don’t get caught up in the bore of one particular routine.

4. Stay fit, Even On The Go
The best part about getting your brand new abs is that you can do it anywhere.
Building your body to work on your core isn’t something that you need a treadmill for. You don’t need an elliptical, or a bike – pavement, or a home gym. You can do this anywhere. The only thing you’ll need to get started is a good set of fitness gear, a towel and your water bottle.
Or, find a gym in the city you’re headed to that works with your fitness routine. Whether it’s a boxing gym or a spin studio, do your research ahead of time and plan your schedule accordingly.
5. Keep better posture for a stronger body.
The secret to a stronger body? Better posture.
It’s true – the secret to a stronger body is better posture. With better posture, you’ll activate your core, strengthen your back and be a taller, more confident person overall. Not only have I learned this from my physio, I’ve experienced it myself.
Ever since I decided to start practicing yoga regularly, my body has been stronger and I have had a better posture. In addition, my core has also felt the benefits. With stronger shoulders, glutes, hips, and more, your core will be much better supported and aid in giving you a stronger body overall.
In actuality, a stronger core leads to better posture, and vice versa. The two go hand in hand. If your core is tight, your posture will be more in line – and if your posture is more in line, you’ll activate your core more often throughout the day.

Regardless of how hard you work, nutrition will truly help lead the way. If you exercise for hours each day, but eat burgers and and fries every night, how far will you get on your fitness journey?
