Ready to take a look at the Best MagSafe iPhone Chargers & Stands for 2023? So you have an iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, or iPhone 13 Pro – or maybe you’re planning or already have got an iPhone 14 this year, but you’d like to know more about this “MagSafe” feature you’ve heard about or read about. In short, MagSafe refers to a ring of magnets that are built into all iPhone 13 models that are made to attach to other MagSafe accessories that have similar magnets built into them. While there are things like cardholders and rings for holding your phone, arguably the most useful MagSafe accessories are MagSafe chargers and phone stands.
MagSafe chargers are essentially Qi wireless chargers with magnets built in that allow the charger to “snap” onto the back of an iPhone 13 and hold it close for uninterrupted charging, even while the phone is in use. Smartphone stands work much the same way, and there are several items that fuse the two together, becoming a sort of wireless phone charger that magnetically holds your phone at the same time.

Also of note, most MagSafe chargers still function like normal Qi wireless chargers, so even if you don’t have an iPhone 13 or a set of AirPods Pro, then your Samsung Galaxy S21 will still be able to receive a charge – albeit without the snappy magnetic connection. If you’re still unsure about anything to do with these new chargers, be sure to check out the FAQ section at the end of this article.
Now, to help you find the MagSafe charger or stand that best fits your needs. We hope that this list will give you some useful information and help you find what you’re looking for!

First up, we’ve got the star on our list. The Apple MagSafe Charger is a wireless charger by Apple that attaches magnetically to compatible Apple devices, which currently includes AirPods Pro and all iPhone 13 models. The charger also functions as a Qi-certified charger so it will still wirelessly charge any devices that have that capability, it just won’t connect via the magnets.
Also, the MagSafe charger charges at a super-fast 15W, although it doesn’t include a power adapter. For optimal charging speeds, the Apple 20W USB-C power adapter must be purchased separately. Another thing to keep in mind is that cases must be labeled as MagSafe cases to work properly with the magnets.

MagSafe Chargers & Stands FAQ
Q: Is MagSafe fast charging?
A: The most power an iPhone 12 can pull from a MagSafe charger is 15W – and that’s the official charger with Apple’s own 20W power adapter. By comparison, it’s twice as fast as the 7.5W that Qi charging allows, but not as fast as the 18W that’s possible while using a Lightning cable connection.
Q: Can I use a MagSafe charger without a MagSafe case?
A: It largely depends on the case. If the case is thin enough, it may still connect and charge through the case although the magnetic connection will definitely be weaker. However, if the case is too thick it will not attach or even charge, so if you aren’t going to get a MagSafe case you will need to be sure you get a thin case in order to use MagSafe charging.
Q: Can I charge my Apple Watch with a MagSafe charger?
A: No, it’s a different type of charger. You have to use an Apple Watch charger for your Apple Watch. Some of the products we included above include charging options for Apple Watches along with the phone MagSafe charger – notably the Apple MagSafe Duo!
Q: What devices are compatible with the MagSafe charger?
A: As of early 2021, all iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models work with the magnetic alignment portion of the MagSafe chargers. The charger also works as a non-magnetic wireless Qi charger for the purposes of charging the iPhone 8 or later models, as well as all AirPods models with a wireless charging case.
