Can you think of a place you’d rather be right now? On the beach sipping a cold drink and relaxing? In the wilderness, enjoying a cold brew and fishing? Or, maybe you’d rather be on a golf course shooting for par?
Unfortunately, you’re probably stuck in your office, maybe even at home, away from whatever it is you want to do. Well, if you’d rather be at the beach or fishing, you could turn to VR or video games. But virtual golfing just doesn’t have that same… oomph? Yeah, oomph.
PHIGOLF will change that.
What Is PHIGOLF?
The PHIGOLF will attach to your existing clubs and connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth.
Stick it to the man, just head out to that golf course even when you shouldn’t. With just a smartphone and PHIGOLF, you can spend your whole day – yes, even workday – on the golf course. It’s a “multi-platform golf simulator” that allows you to use your smartphone – and your own clubs – to play anywhere, anytime.
Sounds pretty crazy, right? Also, a bit awesome though?
The PHIGOLF is a small smart sensor that attaches to the head of your clubs and measures your swing. That movement is translated to data, which is fed into the simulation. It’s kind of like playing golf in a video game, except you’re actually swinging a club.
You probably want to make sure you have enough room to use this thing before you go ordering one. You wouldn’t want to ruin your best lamp or spread Uncle Bob everywhere when you hit his urn.
You can get the PHIGOLF for $69-$79 by pledging at the lowest tier on Kickstarter. When it launches, it will retail for $140 so that’s an awesome deal. Of course, it is a crowdfunding platform so you’ll need to wait to get your device.
Luckily, the first shipments are scheduled to go out in September (2017), which isn’t that far.
Want to play golf everywhere? Anywhere? Where would you do it?
