I remember how the Internet went wild for the Apple AirPods the day it has been unveiled. There was a lot of mocking, and the resistance from the majority of the population could not be hidden. According to most, they will easily lose it, but I've seen a video of a man with the AirPods on, and he was swaying and banging his head around, but the AirPods miraculously stayed attached to his ears. Magical? Maybe.
But others can't help but laugh at the ridiculously expensive price tag and the fact that the iPhone 7 doesn't have the 50-year old 3.5mm jack. When you think about it, with the new AirPods, you no longer have to deal with the tangled wires and the traditional audio setup ritual that takes a good 1-2 minutes. With the automatically on and always connected AirPods, you just have to place them on your ears. Your iPhone 7 (or later) will know once you wear the AirPods on or when you take them out.
Of course, you can use it to talk to Siri or the person at the other end of the "line" and you can use it for up to 5 hours on a single charge, and a good 24 hours with the charging case. Need to use it, but it died on you? Quick charge it for just 15 minutes and get 3 hours of battery life. You will not know whether you will like AirPods or not until you try them out.
According to Wired, these earbuds work best just with the Apple gear and they don't sound as good as they should, while CNET said they just small, nice wireless earphones for now.
